David Tolleson started his photographic career on a Coast Guard Icebreaker, during the 1970s.

His earliest photographs of Antarctica, Arctic, New Zealand and the tip of South America set a course for his passion of nature photography.

David is well known for his unique waterfowl, native mammals, scenic vistas and colorful garden images. His notoriety as a photographer spans 30 years, from recent awards in the "Best of Photography Annual 2004" and to his Coast Guard Gold Honor Awards.
